Finally, a way to stop the chasing

The complete Un-Chase! training programs

Real help for dogs who chase

If your dog thinks everything that moves is worth chasing, you’re not alone.

Living with a dog who chases can be exhausting. Walks become tense. Backyard time requires constant supervision. Encounters with wildlife, livestock, bikes, cars, cats, or birds turn into moments you dread.

You want your dog to enjoy the world safely. You want to relax on walks again. You want to know your dog can make good decisions when something exciting appears.

Un-Chase! provides a clear path forward for dogs who can’t resist the chase.

Developed by dog trainer Alexis Davison, these step-by-step programs teach dogs how to pause, think, and make calmer decisions. (Yes, even the most dedicated chasers can learn to Un-Chase!)

Why Un-Chase! online programs works so well

Many people wonder if training like this can really work online. In fact, online training is often the most effective way to learn these skills.

Chasing usually happens in everyday environments – on walks, in the backyard, or out in nature. Training works best when you practise in those same real-life situations.

Un-Chase! programs guide you step-by-step with short videos and simple exercises you can practise anywhere, anytime.

This means you can:

  • train in the environments where chasing actually happens
  • access experienced and qualified trainers, regardless of your location
  • work at a pace that suits your schedule
  • revisit lessons whenever you need a refresher
  • build skills gradually and consistently

Instead of trying to remember instructions from a one-off session or class, you have the training guidance with you whenever you need it.

The easiest way to train: the Un-Chase! app

The simplest way to access Un-Chase! training is through the Un-Chase! app, which puts the entire program in your pocket.

Daily bite-sized lessons guide you through the training process with short videos and practical exercises, based on the chase triggers relevant to your dog.

You can also access the app through your computer using the web version.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Un-Chase! option is right for me?

It mainly depends on how you prefer to learn.

The Un-Chase! app challenges provide daily, step-by-step guidance. Training is broken into short exercises that focus on specific chase triggers. The online courses provide the full Un-Chase! training framework. They allow you to explore the material in larger sections and apply the approach across multiple chasing situations at your own pace.

If you’re looking for a quick start plan that tells you exactly what to train each day, the app challenges are usually the best place to start.

If you prefer a deeper understanding of the training approach and the flexibility to work through the material your own way, an online course may suit you better.

Un-Chase! training is based on positive reinforcement and modern behavioural science, helping dogs learn calm, thoughtful responses to exciting chase opportunities.

You won’t be on your own. App members have access to the Un-Chase! community, where Un-Chase! founder Alexis Davison and licensed trainers are available to answer questions and help you move forward if you get stuck.

Yes! Many dogs begin Un-Chase! training after chasing has already become a habit. The program helps dogs practise alternative behaviours and gradually apply them in real-life situations.

Most days involve one short video (around 5–10 minutes) followed by a simple exercise. If you can set aside around 15 minutes a day and follow the program as designed, you’ll be well placed to make good progress.

No specialised equipment is required. You’ll use your dog’s normal walking gear (a flat collar or harness and a long lead for practising outdoors). We recommend using a clicker because it helps dogs learn quickly and clearly, but it’s not essential.

Yes. The programs are designed to be completed from anywhere using the Un-Chase! app or web access.

No. Individual programs are available for purchase for AUD $145 each. The app can also be accessed via a web browser. However, most people prefer the app subscription, which provides access to all programs and skills training in one place, and breaks training down into simple, bite-sized pieces.
